I've only had one experience with a Murphy bed and the experience was certainly...memorable, to say the least. Of course the Golden Girl-esque wicker embeance didn't help the situation (Miami, FL., nice to meet you.) But should I ever come in contact with a Murphy bed again, I hope they look something like this. I always sleep better in well decorated rooms ;)

Art de Chambre
If you pick out the right piece of art, it's literally the style headline of the room. It's the first thing people notice and doubles a room's sophistication if you're daring enough for some large prints. These are great ones down here- although if you really want some awesome art inspo, page through any Living Etc. The best design mag of all time. Their home tours are insane beautiful. Oh those British....
Marimekko Magnificence
I'm constantly impressed by textile designers. Marimekko is one I've recently discovered. I'm into patterns on white and they have a wonderful selection. You should take a gander...

If the earth was a fashionista....
These rooms are deliciously clean and contemp. The majority of these accents are eco-friendly or organically made. The tones are definitely inspired by the earth- earth is in right now- which is soothing to anyone. Great ideas for a guest bed. Very easy on the eyes. Even though I'm more of a color person- I vote yes.

Baby Style: Enfant Terrible
Enfant Terrible. I just love the name. And the style. I'm always scouting out new baby trends- not because I actually have a baby but because they are the only little beings who can literally relish in adorable decor 24/7. Lucky little people. Find it all here.

I don't know one person who loves to apply wallpaper but I know several folks who love it. These modern designs are so clean-cut and definitely make a statement. If you want a house to look put together than wallpaper (tasteful wallpaper) is one of the best ways to do it. Check out other awesome designs by Catherine Weis (picture of work above).

Tintastic
Dear Holidays: as wonderful as you are, you need to settle down. I need some rest and writing time. I still love you. Sincerely, Lauren
I love this idea. This headboard is made of painted tin rectangles with pinhole designs tapped into them. Though tremendously tedious, if I can explain it in one sentence this is totally worth doing. The back lights may be tricky but you can google that part... ;)

The Great Divide
Americans are private people. We want our own car, office, sometimes bedroom. Privacy is definitely something to be valued- especially if you have kiddies running around. I sort of forgot about the concept of a room divider. It's such a great idea and your options are endless. It's the passivist's way of shutting a door. Check these out.
